ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory of the Philological Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University invites you to take part in the international scientific and practical conference: "Taraz Studies and tendencies in the development of Kazakh literature" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of ASHIMOV AKIM URTAEVICH, the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor of the Kazakh National University of Arts, writer, playwright, screenwriter (AKIM TARAZI), which will be held on November 21, 2023.
Scholars from foreign and Kazakh universities and research institutes, doctoral students, undergraduates and media representatives are invited to the conference. The conference will discuss the history of Kazakh literature and the trend of its development, topical problems of literary studies, drama.
The conference topics:
- Topical problems of literary studies.
- History of Kazakh literature and trends of its development.
- Folklore studies in Kazakhstan: past, present, future.
- Akim Tarazi and Kazakh dramaturgy.
- Methods of teaching the Kazakh language and literature in higher and secondary schools.
The conference will be on November 21, 2023, at 11:00 in the hall 409 of the Al-Farabi Library.
The terms of participation.
The working the conference languages are Kazakh and Russian. The conference materials will be published in electronic format.
The deadline for conference submission is November 16, 2023.
To be included in the conference program, it is necessary to submit a report (article) and the registration form of the conference participant in an electronic form to the organizing committee (obligatory).

Requirements for conference paper preparation:
1. Conference paper should be sent to the address: kazlit19@gmail.com. The file must be saved in the "Microsoft Office Word Document" format.
2. Author's name, surname, place of work, academic title, country (Times New Roman font, bold, italic, size 14) should be located in the upper right corner of the page (see Sample).
3. The title of the article (Times New Roman, bold, size 14) - in the center of the page (see Sample).
4. The main text is Times New Roman (14 points) with a single line spacing (see Sample). Indent paragraph of the main text -1 cm; alignment – in width; figurative placement in the text - automatically.
5. References go after the main text (Times New Roman font (size 12) (see Sample).
6. The reference to the literature is enclosed in square brackets and at the end of the sentence consists of the number of the source from the list of references, as well as the page number (see Sample).
7. Information about the author is indicated at the end of the text: last name, first name, patronymic (in full); city; place of work and position; academic degree and title; student, undergraduate, doctoral student indicate the educational institution, course, faculty or department (see Sample).
8. The volume of materials should not exceed 5 pages.
Attention! Materials that do not correspond to the topics of the conference, as well as have not been edited, are not included in the collection.
