SDG 17.International scientific and practical conference «Strengthening the NPT Regime and Global Security: Challenges and Prospects»

On October 20, AlmaU University hosted the International scientific and practical conference «Strengthening the NPT Regime and Global Security: Challenges and Prospects».

The purpose of the conference was to contribute to strengthening the regime of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) to achieve peace, security, stability and sustainable development in the international arena. During the conference, a report was read out on modern challenges to the NPT regime and ensuring global security, nuclear weapons and energy security. Head of the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics of the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Abishev M. E. made a report on "Nuclear technologies and artificial Intelligence". Teachers and doctoral students of this department also took part in the scientific and practical conference.
