Workshop on the topic "Assessment of PM2.5 concentrations in the cities of Central Asia"

On October 24, 2023, a workshop was held at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology on the topic “Assessment of PM2.5 concentrations in the cities of Central Asia.” The goal of the workshop is to familiarize with the problems of air pollution in large cities of Central Asia. The workshop presented the results of the research carried out within the framework of the program BR10965258 “Development of a research program to improve air quality in Nur-Sultan and Almaty using modern analytical methods and modeling tools” (principal investigator - PhD, associate professor Baimatova N.). The workshop was attended by students and teachers of al-Farabi KazNU and the universities of Kazakhstan, activists and representatives of the Almaty akimat. The workshop was held as part of achieving SDG 13 “Climate Action” (13.3.4 Providing information and support to government agencies).
