The article "Cities of Central Asia: New hotspots of air pollution in the world" has been published

Article by a team of authors led by N. Baimatova published the article “Cities of Central Asia: New hotspots of air pollution in the world” in Atmospheric Environment. The article is devoted to the study of temporal variations of PM2.5 particles and the influence of meteorological parameters on PM2.5 concentrations in six large cities of Central Asia: Almaty and Astana (Kazakhstan), Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), Dushanbe (Tajikistan) and Tashkent (Uzbekistan). Atmospheric Environment is one of the leading journas in the field of atmospheric air research (CiteScore percentile - 93), included in the top 10% of journals in this field. The work was carried out within the framework of the project AP09260359 “Comprehensive assessment of air pollution in Almaty: identification of sources, spatial and temporal analysis” and makes a significant contribution to the achievement of SDG 13 “Climate action” (13.1.3 “Climate action: publications").
