SDG 17 – Partnerships for Sustainable Development. The topic is "The Islamic concept of human resource management in a Muslim country".

The Higher School of Economics and Business of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an event on November 9, 2023 at 15:00 in 201 auditorium with Dr. K.Hamid Fahmi Zarkasi, Rector  of the University of Darussalam Offices (Indonesia) and PhD, Professor Ahmad Afandi Mahmudz, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8 "Decent work and economic growth", SDG 17 – Partnerships for Sustainable Development. The topic is "The Islamic concept of human resource management in a Muslim country".

Dr. K.Hamid Fahmi Zarkasi (Paradigm, Understanding SMEs) and Ahmad Afandi Mahfuz made a presentation. The aim was to study the concept of HR management from an Islamic point of view, as well as to exchange ideas and information about the implementation of HRS in Indonesia and Kazakhstan.

FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSION (FGD) was organized for such target audience as students, undergraduates, doctoral students, teachers, practitioners (company HR manager, organization HR manager, college HR manager) and regulatory authorities. It was quite interesting for everyone, because such issues as:

1. IHRM concept: philosophy, paradigm, understanding.

2. Regulation of HR management in Kazakhstan.

3. IHRM practice in Kazakhstan and Indonesia: recruitment, selection, coaching, empowerment, retirement.

Expected result:

1. Overview of the Islamic concept of human resource management.

2. Experience of CRM implementation in Kazakhstan.
