Under the supervision of Altybayeva Nazgul Abdullayevna, the 1st-year graduate student of the "Genetics" educational program, of the department of molecular biology and genetics held a seminar on the preservation of terrestrial ecosystems. To understand the problems caused by the inefficient use of natural resources and subsequent ecological catastrophes, the structure of the terrestrial ecosystem was considered using the example of Edelbay sheep. The lecture discussed the results of scientific research devoted to the preservation of the population of these breeds of animals, which play an important role both in animal husbandry and sustainable agriculture, and in the preservation of existing ecosystems. Within the framework of this topic, students were asked to conduct research to determine the current population of Edilbay sheep, develop a system for monitoring the number and health of animals, restore natural pastures, maintain the genetic diversity of the state to ensure its stability and adaptability to changing conditions. The influence of new methods of animal husbandry, aimed at meeting the needs of Edalbai sheep and preserving ecosystems, and the recommendations on this issue were considered.
