Russian language in intercultural dialogue

             On November 8-10, 2013, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Russian Language in Intercultural Dialogue of Central Asian Countries" was held in Dushanbe, dedicated to the Year of the Russian Language in the CIS countries. The organizer of the conference is the Faculty of Russian Philology and the Russian Center of the Tajik National University.

 The rector of Tajik National University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Khushvakhtzoda Ko-biljona Khushvakht made an opening speech at the opening conference ceremony. Vladimir Vyacheslavovich Kochin,  the Chairman of the Executive Director of the Russky Mir Foundation, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of a number of countries, heads of delegations of CIS countries,  , Fomicheva Zh.E. (the Russian Federation ), Urazaeva K.B. ( the Republic of Kazakhstan),  Sultanova Sh.M ( the Republic of Uzbekistan).

               The sectional reports were divided thematically as follows.

Direction I: Methodology for teaching the Russian language;

Direction II: Russian language and literature;

Direction III: Comparative typology and translation.

          The scholars  from the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language (Moscow), State University of Education (Moscow), L. Gumilev Eurasian National University (Astana), Kazan Federal University, al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty), International University of Information Technologies (Almaty), Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University (St. Petersburg), Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow), Samarkand State Medical University, Siberian Institute of Management (Novosibirsk), Tajik National University (Dushanbe), Tula State Pedagogical University, Russian-Tajik University (Dushanbe), Uzbek State University of World Languages ​ ​ (Tashkent), Center for International Cooperation of the Russian Federation (Bishkek) took part in the discussion of the  current problems of teaching Russian language and literature in the context of rapidly changing social challenges.

            Master classes, methodological seminars were held, where scholars  exchanged experience in teaching humanitarian disciplines. They also  discussed the urgent problems of the Russian language in intercultural dialogue and ways to solve them. Based on the materials of the conference, the collection "Russian Language in the Intercultural Dialogue of Central Asian Countries" was published.
