Brain ring: "Presumption of innocence"
On November 15, 2023, a brain-ring on the topic "Presumption of innocence" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was held at the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics as part of the implementation of the UN SDG No. 4 "Quality Education".
The presumption of innocence is one of the fundamental principles of judicial proceedings, which consists in the fact that a person is considered innocent until his guilt in the committed crime is proved in accordance with the procedure provided for by law and established by a court verdict that has entered into force.
The training was held among students of 1-3 courses.
The training consisted of 4 stages
Stage 1: Acquaintance
Stage 2: Quiz
Stage 3: Cases
Stage 4: Homework
4 teams took part in the training, which were recently inspired by the topic and prepared separately with the team and prepared their homework.
At the first stage, the teams greeted each other. We introduced our teams to each other.
At the second stage, the team was offered boxes with points to which they had to answer at the time given to them.
At the third stage, the teams solved cases related to the presumption of innocence.
And the last fourth stage of the team prepared the task assigned to them at home.
The trainees (3rd year students) also took part in the training.
