Reducing inequality within and between countries

On the 16th of November, 2023 at 15:00 at the Faculty of Law of KazNU named after al-Farabi within the framework of CSD 10 “Reducing inequality within and between countries” by teachers of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law Doctor of Law. Baimakhanova D.M. and Ph.D. Kusainov D.O. a meeting was organized between 3rd year students and Ruslan Rekhimovich Mamutov. Chairman of the public association Center for Rehabilitation of Disabled People "Zam-Zam". The topic of the meeting was “Ensuring equal access to public service, participation in civil society, and higher education for persons with disabilities”.

Speaking to students, Mamutov R.R. told them by personal example how difficult it is for disabled people to adapt to public life, not to withdraw and not to lose faith in themselves. The public association Center for Rehabilitation of Disabled People “Zam-Zam” provides disabled people with comprehensive assistance in various areas. The rehabilitation center provides psychological assistance, helps to cope with everyday problems, helps in solving organizational issues when obtaining higher education, getting a job, and receiving social assistance.

The center organizes training in the use and assistance in purchasing special technical means and devices that make the lives of people with disabilities easier. Mamutov R.R. drew a special attention to the involvement of people with disabilities in state and public life, noting the importance of measures taken by the state in this direction.

The students listened with great interest to the lecture on such a specific problem, asked many questions and were grateful to Ruslan Rekhimovich for the interesting conversation. As the young people noted, Mamutov R.R. - it is an example of courage and resilience of the human spirit in the face of circumstances.
