International Cultural and Educational Conference dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the V Conference of Writers of Asian and African Countries

On November 21, 2023, the International Cultural and Educational Conference dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the V Conference of Writers of Asian and African Countries was held at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The moderator of the conference was Zhaksylykov Aslan Zhamelevich, Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of al-Farabi  Kazakh National University.\, Chairman of the Council of  Russian Literature of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Welcoming words were said  by Olzhas Omarovich Suleimenov,  Director of the International Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures under UNESCO auspices (category 2) in Almaty, Zhakyp Bauyrzhan Omirzhanuly, Secretary of the Board of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan (Kazakhstan, Almaty), Melo Angela,  Director of the Office of Research, Ethics and Transparency of the UNESCO Secretariat (France, Paris). Next day there was shown an archival newsreels of the V Conference of Writers from Asian and African Countries “Writers of Two Continents”.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in history, Executive Editor of “Bilgamesh” international scientific journal, Head of the Department of Exhibitions and Conferences of the International Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures under UNESCO auspices,  Igor Vladimirovich Krupko made  a report on the topic: “Lessons from the V Conference: gaining historical subjectivity in an era of conscious interdependence", Doctor of History, Professor, Chief Researcher of the International Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures under UNESCO auspices,  Hafizova Klara Shaysultanovna spoke about the relay race of  the conferences of writers from Asian and African countries: from Tashkent to Almaty. After all the presentations the  discussion followed.
