Ways to implement sustainable development goals

One of the sustainable development goals - the implementation of the direction №6 "Clean Water and Sanitation" was considered among the 4 year students of the specialty "Chemistry" in the discipline "Fundamentals of Chemical Technology" at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. 40% of the world's population suffers from water scarcity. Accessible and clean water resources for all are the key to sustainable development of the world.

The following main targets are considered.

1. By 2030, achieve universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water for all.
2. By 2030, improve water quality by reducing pollution, eliminating dumping and minimizing release of hazardous chemicals and materials, halving the proportion of untreated wastewater and substantially increasing recycling and safe reuse globally.
