In KazNU discussed the problems of combating corruption
An international scientific-practical conference "Actual problems of combating corruption" (III Annual Anti-Corruption Readings) dedicated to the memory of Doctor of Law, Professor Gulnara Useinova was held in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The conference is timed to coincide with the International Anti-Corruption Day (December 9) proclaimed by the UN General Assembly.
The conference was organized by: Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of the Faculty of Law of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, with the support of the Department of Anti-Corruption Agency for the city of Almaty, Research Institute of Anti-Corruption Technologies, Public Foundation "Mangystau Sauenderi" Department of Youth Policy of Almaty.
The conference was opened by the Vice-Rector for Social Development of KazNU Sabit Suatai, who emphasized that Gulnara Useinova made a huge contribution to the development of domestic legal science and her whole life and activities were connected with the Faculty of Law of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi. She graduated from the university and was admitted to the postgraduate program (1994). In 1996, she defended her thesis on "State-legal views of Ch. Valikhanov", and in 2009 - doctoral dissertation "State-legal views of A.N.Bukeikhanov". Gulnara Useinova was the author of more than two hundred scientific works, including monographs, textbooks, scientific articles in foreign and domestic journals. Prof. G.R. Useinova made an invaluable contribution to anti-corruption projects. During her years as head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Prof. G.R. Useinova was the head of social projects "Public Control" and "Adal Komek".
The conference was also addressed by: Head of the Preventive Department of the Department of Anti-Corruption Agency for the city of Almaty Salimbaev Kanat Asembaevich, Dean of the Faculty of Law Daulet Baideldinov, Head of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics Rima Dzhansaraeva, Head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law Karlygash Useinova and others.
The participants of the conference noted the business and professional qualities of Gulnara Rakhimzhanovna. During her short life she managed to give the right direction to many young lawyers, helped them to take their place in life, to get education in the largest educational institution of the country, to become patriots of their country and to serve for the formation of a legal society.
The conference discussed topical issues of combating corruption in modern Kazakhstan, problems of formation of anti-corruption consciousness and anti-corruption culture in society, international experience in fighting and combating corruption. In addition, the event addressed the problems of legal education and upbringing as a basis for the formation of good character of the subjects of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the conference were awarded the winners of the Republican on-line Olympiad on the subject "Legal Basis for Combating Corruption" with the support of the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency for the city of Almaty. Also, according to the results of the Republican competition for "the best essay", "the best drawing", "the best video", "the best poem" held by the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law together with the Department of Anti-Corruption Agency for the city of Almaty with the support of the public fund "Manengystau Sauenderi" and the Department of Youth Policy of Almaty were announced the winners of the competition.
Also, it should be noted that this event was held within the framework of the project "Political and legal problems of forming integrity in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the modern period" and the realization of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, aimed at building a peaceful, open and democratic society, in the interests of its sustainable development.
The conference was attended by leading scientists of Kazakhstan and foreign countries, representatives of state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international and national experts, representatives of civil society, human rights organizations, teachers and students of universities, representatives of the media.
