09.12.2023, Candidate of Law, Senior lecturer of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law of the Faculty of Law of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, A.T. Ibragimov held a seminar with 2nd-year undergraduates within the framework of goal No. 4 “Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”.
Taking into account the current challenges of the international and local labor markets, lifelong learning is becoming more actual.
Researches on the modern labor market in Kazakhstan shows that about 60% of working specialists need to upgrade their skills to perform successful work, more than 40% of managers experience a shortage or “obsolescence” of skills, and 20% of senior managers believe that they will need new skills in the next 2-3 years.
The fastest growing skills include digital skills, critical thinking, flexible and project thinking, and “time management”. Learning new skills is offered by experts in both online and offline formats.
