"From student to leader: Gaining valuable experience and becoming a leader in the field of logistics" leadership lecture

On December 14, to implement the SDGs in the direction of 4-quality education, a “leadership lecture” was held with the participation of the director of the «Starget» company, Marat Ospanov, organized by the Department of Business Technologies of the HSEB organized a "leadership lecture" with the participation of Marat Ospanov, Director of «Starget»company. The lecture was attended by 3rd and 4th year students of the Logistics department. At the lecture, Marat Ospanov shared his experience in the field of logistics with students. He explained the history of the Starget company's path to success, the services provided by company, and the achievements achieved in the form of a brief presentation. He also focused on several principles and qualities that are important to develop in order to become successful and influential logistics specialists:

1. Understanding of technology: Modern logistics is inextricably linked with the use of modern technologies. These can be WMS, GPS technologies, analytical tools and much more. It is important to keep abreast of the latest trends in logistics and constantly update your information technology skills.

2. Improve their communication skills: Logistics leaders should communicate perfectly with various stakeholders – from suppliers to customers and colleagues. The ability to express your thoughts clearly and effectively, listen to and take into account the opinions of others, as well as build mutually beneficial partnerships are all important skills for a logistician.

3. Be flexible and actively adapt to changes: Logistics is an area that is constantly changing. Technologies are developing, customer needs are changing, and legislation is being updated. To be successful in logistics, it is important to be flexible and ready to adapt to changes. Be open to new ideas and ready to change with the world around you.
