High–quality education is the future of the nation
On November 28, 2023 the chair of physical chemistry, catalysis and petrochemistry of the faculty of chemistry and chemical technology of KazNU named after Al-Farabi (acting associate professor Iskakova R. A., doctoral student of educational program "8D07101-Petrochemistry" Buzayev N.) held a discussion among the students of the 3rd year about the models of education applicable to Kazakhstan. In the framework of this event was discussed an important and relevant topic: the quality of education in Kazakhstan in comparison with the Finnish and Japanesrenova S.M.e models of education. Finland and Japan hold leading positions in world education rankings, while Kazakhstan strives to improve its level and quality of educational services. During the debate students tried to find an answer to the question: which of these models of education is better suited for Kazakhstan and its specifics?
At the end of the event it was concluded that none of the models can be exactly used for the entire educational system of Kazakhstan. It is necessary to improve our own on the basis of suitable sides of the Finnish and Japanese models taking into account national peculiarities of our education system and upbringing.
This discussion was held within the framework of realization of the fourth goal of sustainable development (SDG 4 Quality Education).
Acting Assistant Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry: Iskakova R.A., Narenova S.M.
