Effective interaction between higher education institutions and manufacturing enterprises

For the effective development of professional competencies, communication with production is of great importance, where students can see the practical application of theoretical principles and innovative technologies. Close interaction between higher education institutions and production facilities ensures high-quality training of specialists. There are many forms of joint interaction: practice, carrying out scientific work in production, joint seminars and conferences. A tour is the most frequently used and at the same time effective form of cooperation with production.

On  December 4, 2023 teachers of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry, Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Narenova S. M. and Iskakova R. A., as part of the study of the discipline “Metrology and Standardization,” organized an excursion for 3rd year students studying in educational program “6B05301-Chemistry”, at the enterprise of the branch in Almaty and the Almaty region “RSP KazStandard”. Students got acquainted with the branch's uniform, standards of time, pressure, length of electricity, etc. Storage conditions and the procedure for working with standards in this branch.

The chief specialist of the branch, Zhanabaeva G.A., spoke about the tasks and functions of the KazStandard enterprise, prospects and problems of development of the standardization system. The head and employees of the branch expressed hope to see graduates of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology among the trainees and employees of the enterprise.
