Zhunusbaeva Zhazira Kabulovna won the "500 Scientists" stipend in the frame of "Bolashak" program

The Head of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Candidate of Biological Sciences Zhazira Kabulovna Zhunusbaeva, has been awarded a stipend "500 Scientists" in the frame of the "Bolashak" program! During her internship, under the supervision of Professor Murat Kalievich Saparbayev, who leads the DNA Repair Laboratory at the Gustave Roussy Institute, she will investigate the mechanisms of inheritance of mitochondrial DNA strands and the patterns of somatic mutations in the genome. This research potentially can lead to new methods for early diagnosis and prevention of age-related diseases and human aging.
