Sustainable Development and ESG: Global Challenges, National Priorities, Effective Solutions

On January 09, the International Winter School -2024 "Sustainable Development and ESG: Global Challenges, National Priorities, Effective Solutions", conducted by the Department of Economics of the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, continued its work.

First speaker Professor Yosini Deliana, Ir., PhD, Department of Agricultural Social Economics, Universitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia. An academician and development professional with over 25 years of experience in teaching at Padjadjaran University Bandung and research in the areas of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development in collaboration with various national and international development agencies and foreign university such as Natural Research Institute, Greenwich University, U.K., Centre for Alleviation of Poverty through Secondary Crops’ Development in Asia and the Pacific (CAPSA), Michigan State University (MSU), and United State Agency for International Development (USAID). Topic of her Lecture “Green Packaging for Environmental Frendly”.

Green Economy is a concept that creates a sustainable low-emission world beneficial to both our society and planet. It involves a sustainable development that guarantees GDP increase and at the same time preserves and protects nature and secures human and social well-being.

Green packaging is the use of materials and manufacturing methods for the packaging of goods that has a low impact on both energy consumption and on the environment.

The second speaker was a Senior lecturer Saltanat Kondybayeva, PhD, Department of Economics, HSEB, KazNU.

The topic of the speech is “The Theoretical Aspects of the Innovative Development of the Business.”
