KazNU together with Iranian partners develops philosophical education

The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a meeting with the Chairman of the Association of Iranian Mobads Mr. Mehraban Poladi.

The meeting was attended by Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science Bekzhan Meirbayev, Head of the Department of Religious Studies and Political Science Ainur Kurmanalieva, Head of the Department of Philosophy Aset Kuranbek, as well as attaché of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Aghazadeh.

During the meeting Bekzhan Meirbayev, emphasizing the historical roots of cultural ties between Turan and Iran, introduced the guest of honor to the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi KazNU, shared the state of spiritual harmony and religion in the country, the main directions of research work of scientists in the field of philosophy and religious studies. He also spoke about the great contribution of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions constantly held in Kazakhstan to the effective establishment of interreligious and intercivilizational dialogue in the world community.

In turn, the chairman Mr. Mehraban Poladi thanked the leadership of the faculty for a warm welcome, spoke about the values that connect the culture of the two countries, introduced the work of the association, which he supervises.

Attache of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Aghazadeh expressed the opinion that studying the philosophy of faith and organizing an exhibition of ancient Avesta manuscripts would contribute to deepening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of culture and science.

The sides discussed the prospects of further cooperation in the field of development of philosophical education and expansion of bilateral cooperation for mutual benefit.
