The World Election Day was celebrated in Kazuu named after Al-Farabi

Every year, World Election Day is celebrated throughout the country, established as a professional holiday of electoral authorities at the 2005 General Conference of Election Organizers in Budapest, Hungary, on the first Thursday of February and supported by the United Nations.
In honor of the World Election Day, a round table was held at the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The round table was attended by the chairman of the Territorial Election Commission of the Bostandyk district of Almaty, Kaliaskarova Sholpan Rysbekovna, the chairmen and members of polling stations 258, 259 and 568 located at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and student voters. At the event, an exchange of views took place on the electoral system, a brief history of the elections held in the country and the latest changes made. The students' questions were answered.
