Leadership lecture dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

On February 6, 2024, a leadership lecture on the topic «The system of higher professional education in the Republic of Kazakhstan. KazNU is the flagship of the higher school of Kazakhstan» was held for undergraduates of the law, Economics and Physics and Technology faculties.

The lecture was conducted by Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, winner of the grant «The best university teacher of 2023» Magauova Akmaral Sabitollaevna.

The content of the lecture was aimed at revealing the main stages of the development of higher education in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the specifics of the modernization of the higher education system in accordance with the principles of the Bologna process. An analysis of the level of reflection and implementation of the fourth UN Sustainable Development Goal – Ensuring quality education (SDG-4), in the country's state educational policy and the legislative framework for the development of higher professional education was also presented.

The discussion of the issue «KazNU is the flagship of the higher school of Kazakhstan» aroused special interest and lively interaction. The application of the blitz tournament technique «Did you know that ...» prompted undergraduates to active cognitive activity, during which they not only listed the features and achievements of the university, but tried to analyze the path of its development, characterized the Treasury «as a hearth of knowledge», «as a home of science and enlightenment», «as a leader of higher education education in Kazakhstan and abroad».
