webinar on the topic: "The right of a child to protect his rights and legitimate interests"
On 02/05/2024, students of the 302 group within the framework of the SDG "Gender Equality" held a webinar on the topic: "The right of a child to protect his rights and legitimate interests." At the webinar, senior lecturer Alkebayeva D.A. highlighted in detail the issues of children's rights under the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Every natural person under the age of 18 is recognized as a child. The right of the child is the right of every child to freedom and life.
For proper development, a child needs to grow up in a loving and kind environment, in a family, among close and loving people. The task of adults is to prepare a child for independent life, to help him become a full–fledged member of society, to create conditions for the normal physical and intellectual development of the child.
A child has the right to be raised by his parents, to ensure his interests and comprehensive development, and to respect his human dignity. The child has the right to freely express his opinion in solving any family issues affecting his interests. After the child turns 10 years old, his opinion should be taken into account by law.
The State protects the interests of children and has legislated the family privilege of raising children in the family. If parents voluntarily fail to fulfill their duties, the compulsory collection of alimony from them is a manifestation of the protection of children's rights by the State.
The students discussed and discussed interesting moments from life and asked questions.
