PEACE, JUSTICE AND EFFECTIVE INSTITUTIONS

On 1.02.2024, a round table dedicated to the International Election Day was held at the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University!
Students and teachers gathered together to discuss important issues related to the institution of elections in the modern world and its current trends. During the event, various aspects of elections, their role in the democratic process, as well as challenges and opportunities faced by electoral systems in different countries were discussed.
The participants of the round table discussed the following issues:
The role of elections in ensuring democracy and the rule of law;
Modern challenges and threats facing electoral processes;
The impact of technology and social media on selective behavior;
The practice of electoral processes in various countries and regions;
The role of young people in electoral processes and their participation in political life.
The discussion was rich and productive, and the participants were able to share their points of view and experience, as well as gain new knowledge about the importance of elections in the modern world.
