Round table "Religious literacy and religious studies education"

On February 13, 2024, during the period of research practice, 2nd year doctoral students of the specialty Islamic Studies and Religious Studies in the direction of "Quality education" of the 4th goal within the framework of the program "Sustainable development" Shanbayeva A. N., Mukan A. B., Bolatzhan A. N. and senior teachers of the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies Kantarbayeva Zh.O., Professor Borbasova K. M., Professor K.M. Bishmanov, organized a round table with Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor Kunapina Kayyrken Kudaibergenkyzy. The round table was devoted to the topic "Religious literacy and religious studies education".

During the round table, the importance of religious literacy and religious education in modern society, the problems of religious books and hijabs, which are gaining popularity in society, were discussed. Professor Kairken Kudaibergenovna put forward fresh ideas and suggestions,namely, since our values are in the upbringing that begins at school, she proposed to train qualified personnel with religious literacy who will be engaged in special educational work in higher educational institutions. Master teachers Balabekkyzy K., Nauryzbayuly D. made reports on how religious education is currently being conducted at the school, in the context of the content of textbooks and students 'views, answered students' questions. The Round Table was attended by Dean of the Faculty of philosophy and Political Science B. B. Meirbayev, head of the Department of religious studies and cultural studies A. D. Kurmanalieva, 1st year students, undergraduates and doctoral students of the specialty religious studies and Islamic studies, teachers of the Department.
