The opening ceremony of the stand dedicated to the history of the department

In the anniversary year for our university, February 13, 2024, the department of criminal law, criminal procedure and criminalistics held a solemn opening ceremony of a stand dedicated to the history of the department.

The solemn event was attended by the head of the department, doctor of legal sciences, professor Dzhansaraeva R.E., doctor of legal sciences, associate professor Bersugurova L.Sh., candidate of legal sciences, associate professor Tapalova R.B., and also the teaching staff of the department and the dean of the Faculty of Law, Doctor of Law, Professor Baideldinov D.L.

Professor Dzhansaraeva R.E. emphasized that the opening of this stand is an important event and symbolizes the continuation of the scientific heritage.

The stand reflects significant facts and events since 1938, when the Alma-Ata State Institute of Law was formed, and it included the department of criminal law disciplines, headed by M.L. Shalamov.

In 1947, the department of criminal law disciplines of the Alma-Ata State Law Institute was transformed and on its basis the department of criminal law and the department of criminal procedure and criminology were created

In 1955, the Department of Criminal Law and the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics became part of the Faculty of Law of Kazakh State University. CM. Kirov

In 1974, the Department of Criminalistics was separated from the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics.

In 1989, the Department of Criminal Law was renamed the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology

In 2003, the department of criminal procedure was renamed the department of judiciary and criminal procedure, the department of criminology was renamed the department of criminology and forensic examinations.

In 2011, on June 27, by order of the rector of the Kazakh National University No. 223, by merging three departments of the Faculty of Law: criminal law and criminology, judiciary and criminal procedure, criminology and forensic examinations, the department of criminal law, criminal procedure and criminology was formed, which was headed by Doctor of Law, Professor Dzhansaraeva R.E.

A stand dedicated to the history of the department is not only a memorable symbol, but also a valuable source of information about the past, present and future of the department.
