SDG No. 8 Decent work and economic growth

On February 21, 2024, Candidate of Law, Acting Associate Professor G.S. Kalieva conducted a scientific seminar with students of the Faculty of Law on the topic: “Decent work and economic growth” within the framework of SDG No. 8. The scientific seminar noted the need to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all. The workshop noted that States should take urgent and effective action to eradicate forced labor, end modern slavery and human trafficking, and ensure that the worst forms of child labor, including the recruitment and use of child soldiers, are prohibited and eliminated, and by 2025 end child labor in all its forms. Speakers emphasized that Kazakhstan will strive to ensure full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including young people and people with disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value by 2030.
