Round table “Shaping competencies for teaching English and French based on national values using modern technologies”

The Department of Diplomatic Translation of the Faculty of International Relations held a round table “Shaping competencies for teaching English and French based on national values using modern technologies”, organized within the framework of the grant project of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan AR14869709 "Features of teaching a foreign language based on national values" and dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on February 27, 2024. The purpose of the round table is to create a discussion platform for discussing the role of national values in the formation of competencies in foreign language teaching and to develop students' cognitive activity towards a conscious understanding of the importance of preserving the national code of the people.   

The round table was attended by L.F. Delovarova -  Dean of the Faculty of International Relations PhD, Associate Professor; Akhmet Ualikhanov Toktabai - ethnographer, doctor of Historical Sciences Professor of the History and Ethnography Institute named after Sh. Ualikhanov of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Dauletbekova Zhanat Turarbekovna - doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, professor of the Kazakh-British Technical University; Berny Sèbe - PhD, Professor of the University (England); Bagdagul Musa -  PhD, Professor at the University of Jordan; Suleyman Kaan Yalçi - Professor at Firat University (Turkey);  Lucas Daloushe; Тinomia Takashi - PhD, Professor at the University of Tsukuba (Japan), as well as teachers of the department.

The round table was moderated by the Head of the Department of Diplomatic Translation, PhD, Professor Seidekenova A. S. The final word was delivered by the head of the scientific project, Ph.D. Mukhametkalieva G. U.
