Winter school “Science. Research. Publication"

As part of achieving SDG 4 "Quality education" (4.3.3 "Vocational training activities (lifelong learning)"), on January 22-26, 2024, the Department of Analytical, Colloid Chemistry and Technology Rare Elements held the II International Winter School “Science. Research. Publication” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The winter school was held in a mixed format with the participation of lecturers from Kazakhstan, the USA, Romania, Russia, Serbia, and Israel. The students at the Winter School were students, undergraduates, PhD students and scientists from near and far abroad.

The Winter School program included such current topics as “Basic principles, criteria and methods of scientific research”, “Effective planning of scientific experiments”, “From idea to published scientific story: an intriguing journey”, “Recommendations for writing a scientific monograph”, “Spam in scientific environment”, “Artificial intelligence as a tool for writing scientific articles”, etc. Listeners were given practical advice on planning scientific research, choosing a journal for publishing articles, and writing scientific papers.

The department thanks the lecturers and students for their active participation in the work of the Winter School.
