On the migration policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan

As part of the implementation of SDG 4 "Quality Education", proclaimed by the United Nations to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University holds the Farabi Winter Scientific School on the topic "Human Rights in modern the world."

Оn February 28, 2024, Associate Professor of the Department Kultemirova L.T. held a lecture on the topic: «Implementation of migration policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan».

During the lecture, the issues that reveal the concept of migration policy and its features in the Republic of Kazakhstan were considered. The purpose and objectives of migration policy, problems in the field of population migration and prospects for their solution are highlighted.

Speaking about the stages of development of migration policy, the lecturer noted its priority areas such as: educational immigration, business immigration, labor immigration, ethnic migration.

Revealing the topic, the lecturer emphasized its relevance and practical significance in the context of modern international relations. This is due to the fact that the Republic of Kazakhstan has been actively involved in the international migration process for a long time. It has become an integral part of the economic, political, cultural and other relations of the member countries of the world community.

Special attention is paid to the issues of legal regulation of relations in the field of population migration, as well as some aspects of the legal status of foreigners in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Winter Scientific School is organized for students of law specialties from foreign universities.
