KazNU discussed journalism within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an international scientific-practical conference "Journalism and publishing in the framework of Sustainable Development Goals: traditions and innovations", dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the laureate of the President of Kazakhstan in the field of mass media, winner of the State Youth Award "Daryn" and the award of the Union of Youth of Kazakhstan, director of radio "Shalkar" Bolatbek Tolepbergen.
During the plenary session, Malik Otarbayev, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, presented B. Tolepbergen with a letter of thanks from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The conference was attended by: poets and writers, media representatives, scientists, intellectuals, who discussed the issues of traditional journalism and modern publishing.
At the event, the book and collection of the cultural figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, candidate of philosophical sciences Bolatbek Tolepbergen "Alaң zhurt", "Ұlttyқ idea - ұlttyқ media tugyry" were presented. The collection includes works of politicians and writers dedicated to Bolatbek Tolepbergen.
"My documentary "Longing for Freedom" shows the fate of one dynasty during repressions. The material was created from the point of view of spiritual and moral foundations of the national idea of Kazakhstan. It has been one of the important topics since the 90s. And the question of whether Kazakhstan has a national idea, and what problems are rooted in it, has still not lost its relevance", - said Bolatbek Tolepbergen.
Also during the event, member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Lyazzat Erkinbaeva awarded writer Bolatbek Tolepbergen with a badge of the university "Yeren eңbegi ushin" for services to Kazakh journalism.
