KazNU together with Almaty International Airport will train IT specialists
TAV Airports HR Director Hakan Oker specially visited Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and gave a leadership lecture.
The meeting was attended by the management of the educational institution, faculty, young scientists, members of the Academic Council of the university.
The Chairman of the Board-Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebaev made a welcoming speech, where he thanked Hakan Oker for coming to the university.
"Hakan Oker is a very educated, qualified person. He has made a special contribution to the development of the technology industry and has achieved great success. At present, works on reconstruction and expansion of Almaty International Airport are underway. All these works are carried out by TAV Airports Holding. It is obvious that if the airport expands, the number of specialists working there will increase. Therefore, in the future, together with the management of the International Airport, we will conduct agreements on joint training of IT, engineers, technicians", - said the rector.
At the end of his speech, the head of the university Zhanseit Tuimebayev awarded TAV Airports HR Director Hakan Oker the title of "Honorary Doctor" of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
In turn, the guest of honor, thanking the management and staff of the university for the warm welcome, told about the activities of TAV Airports Holding.
During the meeting, the lecturer shared his experience in the modern labor market, talked about the relevance of education and science, technology development.
"TAV Airports Holding is currently paying great attention to IT specialists. Issues aimed at infrastructure development are very important for Almaty. After all, the airport is the air gate of the city. The future development of the metropolis directly depends on the condition of the airport, its infrastructure, level of service and convenience. Today a new terminal for passenger service is being built at the international airport. In the future, the launch of the new terminal will increase the total capacity of Almaty International Airport from 7 to 14 million passengers per year and strengthen the city's position as a transportation and logistics hub in Central Asia," the lecturer said.
Hakan Oker also spoke about the prospects of development of Almaty International Airport and presented the plans of the holding company for the future.
