At KazNU, students of the master's degree and doctoral studies of the "Biodiversity and Bioresources" department of the "Biology and Biotechnology" faculty held an educational lesson on the topic "Kazakh language without a calque".

The purpose of the lesson: There are many words and phrases that are used incorrectly when speaking or writing a text in Kazakh. The vast majority of them are tracings directly translated from Russian. And tracing paper means words and concepts that do not belong to our language and nature, but are accepted with their original meaning. They have become so ingrained in our consumption that they have become right and convenient for us. The problem of tracing paper in the Kazakh language is very relevant. We have been unable to get rid of the problem of word-for-word translation from the Russian language. It should be noted that the syntactic structure of the two languages is different. Each of us is responsible for not destroying the essence of the mother tongue. The persons responsible for the educational lesson gave the bachelor students some examples of bad translations that do not correspond to the rules of the Kazakh language, and suggested the importance and ways to get rid of such words and phrases. During the educational lesson, games were played based on checking students' language fluency, an active discussion was held, and at the end of the lesson, each student shared what he had learned.
