Scientific seminar on “The Transformation of China's Soft Power”
On March 12, 2024, a scientific seminar "The transformation of China's soft power policy" was held. The seminar was attended by teachers of the Department of Chinese Studies, doctoral students, undergraduates and students. During the seminar, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Chinese Studies Kerimbayev Keran Abdraimovich spoke about China's active participation in world cultural integration in the context of globalization, its policy of spreading the Chinese language and culture in the world at the international level. He also touched upon the essence of Confucian institutions that China is creating in many countries of the world, and analyzed its strategic importance in spreading the Chinese language and culture around the world. The rapid spread of the Chinese language and culture in the world was explained by the development of China's social economy and its growing importance in international relations. Questions were comprehensively discussed and asked about the role of Confucius institutes not only in spreading the Chinese language and culture, but also in the fact that Chinese diplomacy fulfills the mission of "soft power", dispels suspicions of the "Chinese threat" in the world, and forms a new positive image of China.
