In KazNU started the action "Save energy" on the directions of SDGs

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University launched a contest of social videos "Saving Energy" among students. The best works of Tik-Tok format calling for energy saving will be considered within the framework of the project.

This action is realized within the framework of the social project aimed at comprehensive realization of 17 directions of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in KazNU.
President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, speaking at the UN summit on the Sustainable Development Goals, said: "We must strengthen international cooperation in technical support, research and risk assessment under the auspices of the UN. The Sustainable Development Goals are the path to a better world for all. We must unite and multiply our efforts. Kazakhstan will always be a staunch supporter of a strong and effective UN role in sustainable development".
As part of the "Save Energy" campaign, large-scale events will be organized at the higher education institution, in particular, various videos will be shot for the social network TikTok, and shuttle jams and flash mobs will be held. This initiative is aimed at the need to improve energy efficiency and save energy resources.
The initiator of social projects is the Department of Strategic Development, the Ban Ki-moon Center and the working group to oversee the implementation of the requirements of the international rating.
It is worth noting that in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University various events are organized within the framework of SDG implementation. They are aimed at achieving results and promoting the importance of sustainable development goals among teachers and students.
