3. Fostering morality, organization, and peacefulness in students.
On March 14, the holiday “Korisu kuni” is celebrated in Kazakhstan. On this day, people greet each other, the younger ones go to the older ones, say hello, and wish each other health, peace and prosperity. In every house, a dastarkhan is served and the elders bless it. It is believed that the tradition arose because people who have experienced a harsh winter rejoice at the arrival of spring and make plans for a brighter future. On Korisu day, people rejoice that they survived the winter, shake hands and see each other. All slight offenses are forgotten and forgiven. March 14 is the holiday of Korisu, the holiday of Amal. At dawn, every family that is looking forward to the Korisu holiday sets a rich table, prepares bauyrsaki and puts sweets on the table. The younger ones in the family give the eldest a double hand and watch. They say to each other: “Bir zhasynmen!”. He says in response: “Growing up a year! This means reaching this year safely!” Every family sees its neighbors. Younger family members enter older families and go out into the streets. This tradition was born from the desire for our children to be well-fed throughout the year, for our table to be mixed, so that our relationships do not suffer.
1st year students studying in the specialty of Microbiology and Biotechnology took an active part in the “Korisu Kuni” holiday on March 14. The Korisu ceremony was performed with teachers and students of the department. Students danced the “Kara Zhorga dance” of the Kazakh people and sang Kazakh songs.
