KazNU Day will be held in Northwest Polytechnic University of China

During a working trip to Xi'an, Chairman of the Board - Rector of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with the President of Northwest Polytechnic University Sun Baowei.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on increasing partnership and further development of the NWPU branch on the basis of KazNU.

During the meeting, the president of Northwestern Polytechnic University Sun Baowei noted that the branch of NWPU in KazNU is the first branch of China opened in Kazakhstan. Also in his speech, the president of the university expressed support for all initiatives aimed at developing bilateral cooperation.

In turn, the Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebaev thanked Mr. Sun Baowei for his hospitality and made a number of suggestions to improve the educational programs of the branch, training of qualified technical specialists, exchange of experience between teachers.

As a result of the meeting, the parties plan to increase the number of accepted master's students in 2024 to 60, doctoral students to 15. Also in the current year they agreed to hold a common international scientific conference, jointly publish a collection of scientific works in the publishing house "Qazaq universiteti", open a scientific laboratory. During the meeting, the parties agreed to hold a day of NWPU in KazNU and a day of KazNU in NWPU in such areas as science, sports, culture and art.

In addition, the delegation headed by the rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebaev met with the Secretary of NWPU Li Yanrong and familiarized with the scientific infrastructure of Northwestern Polytechnic University.
