The center develops production packaging

On the eve of the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi KazNU at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology with the financial support of the scientific fund opened an innovative research and production center Chemical Coating Innovations for the processing of metal products for the needs of mechanical engineering and instrumentation.

It should be noted that the project is planned to be implemented based on the specific needs of the industrial sector. In particular, the machine-building plant JV Kazelectroprivod LLP, which produces railway automatics using the technology of the French company ALSTOM, which is a giant in the railway industry, needed technologies and services for obtaining protective packaging, which will be packed in accordance with international standards. And in Al-Farabi KazNU a whole system of electrochemical technologies has been developed, in connection with which this project has already been launched. According to specialists, in the future, technologies for obtaining electrolytic coatings for various purposes will be recommended for commercialization. Among them:

composite coatings: they have increased wear resistance and anti-corrosion properties (stability in the salt fog chamber - up to 1000 hours).

heat-resistant, ingot-based coercive coatings: protect components located in high-temperature environments such as jet engines or industrial furnaces; magnetic properties are designed for applications considered important.

Traditional metal coatings (Zn, Ni, Cu, Au, Ag, etc.): provide improved appearance, high conductivity, corrosion protection and more. They play a fundamental role from the jewelry manufacturing process to electronics and construction manufacturing.

Again, they also have developments in chemical packaging such as conversion packaging, polymer packaging, etc.

Providing packaging services for various packaging.

Development of new metal processing technology.

Using the activities of the training center to master the competencies of technician and operator of galvanic (electrochemical) production.
