Al-Farabi KazNU signed a memorandum of cooperation with Data+ International LLC, the official distributor of ESRI trademark, providing comprehensive services in the field of geoinformation technologies in Kazakhstan.

The signing ceremony took place within the framework of the meeting between the management of the Treasury and representatives of Data+ International LLC.

Several projects related to land degradation and desertification are being implemented on the basis of the Earth Probing Center, in which university professors and students participate. Last year, through the Earth Sensing Center, Data+ International LLC provided the geography department with academic license programs for geographic information systems for three years. Last November and December, the center's staff and research team members received training at the company's certified centers. Today Data+ specialists conduct free training courses for university teachers in the field of geoinformation technologies.

"Kaznu is the first higher education institution to conclude a memorandum of cooperation with the official distributor of Esri Data+. This opens new opportunities for our university," said Amirkhan Temirbayev, director of the cluster of engineering and knowledge-intensive technologies.

At the end of the meeting, a memorandum was signed, which defines the terms of mutually beneficial cooperation between the companies in the field of education, research and development and professional development.
