Jointly trains IT specialists

The meeting was attended by the management of the educational institution, teaching staff, young scientists, members of the Academic Council of the University.

The head of the university Zhanseit Tuimebayev opened the lecture with a congratulatory speech, accepted a special invitation and thanked Hakan Oker for coming to the university.

"Hakan Oker is a very educated, enterprising citizen. He has made special contributions to the technology industry and has achieved great success. At present, work is underway to expand Almaty International Airport. All these works are carried out by TAV Airports Holding. It is obvious that if the airport expands, the number of specialists working there will increase. Therefore, in the future together with the management of the International Airport we will conduct agreements on joint training of IT, engineers, technicians", - said the rector.

In conclusion, the head of the university Zhanseit Tuimebaev presented the title of "Honorary Doctor" of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi to Hakan Oker, Director of Human Resources of TAV Airports.

The guest of honor, thanking the management and staff of the university for the warm welcome, introduced the activities of TAV Airports Holding. During the meeting, the lecturer shared his experience on the situation in the modern labor market, the relevance of education and science, the development of technology.

"TAV Airports Holding currently pays great attention to IT specialists. The issues aimed at airport development are very important for Almaty. Because the airport is the air gate of the city. The future development of the metropolis directly depends on the condition of the airport, its infrastructure, level of service and convenience. Today a new terminal for passenger service is under construction at the international airport. In the future, the launch of the new terminal will increase the capacity of passengers from 7 to 14 million per year and strengthen the position of the city as a transportation and logistics hub in Central Asia," the lecturer said.

Hakan Oker also spoke about the prospects of development of Almaty International Airport and presented the plans of the holding company for the future.
