The number of international students is growing

Today there is a negative opinion among Kazakh youth that in order to become a qualified specialist, it is necessary to study abroad. Yes, there is no doubt that the history of foreign universities is deep, and, accordingly, the material base and finances invested in science are significant. However, it is wrong to believe that qualified specialists exist only abroad. Today, there are enough educational institutions in the country to train personnel with higher education. Kaznu also annually provides its students with technologies and opportunities existing in popular educational institutions of the world, thanks to joint work with foreign universities.

Various art contests, regularly held in the treasury, or contests of scientific projects, have a positive impact on the professional development of teachers and the professional development of students. Such contests not only make the life of students interesting and active, but also favorably influence their all-round development.

Today, the number of foreign students is growing annually - more than 2.5 thousand foreign students from 50 countries are studying at bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs. And this is certainly a reflection of the comfortable conditions created by the students of the university and the quality of education provided.

By the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi was granted the status of "research university". This means that now the university will become a world-class research university and will take its place in the international scientific and educational space. The proof of this is that in the competition for grant financing of scientific and scientific-technical projects of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-25 years, the scientists of the university won 75 projects. Opening a branch of Kaznu in Istanbul and Bishkek is not evidence of stability and cooperation in the country?

Over the year, the Kaznu has improved its position in a number of indicators. THE AUR ranking, released annually since 2013, reflects the best universities in Asia. This year, about 1,000 universities in the Asian region participated in this ranking. Among them are world-renowned higher education institutions such as Xinhua University, Peking University, National University of Singapore, University of Hong Kong and others.

Kaznu has strengthened its position in THE AUR ranking through fruitful cooperation and collaboration with leading research organizations and renowned higher education institutions of the world.

Considering that world universities take several years to move up one position, it is a great indicator that our Kaznu will immediately move up 50 positions in one year and show good results.

Kaznu was also recognized as the first and the best university among domestic universities in the rating of the independent agency for quality assurance in education (IQAARanking).
