On March 14, 2024, the 1st year master's degree students of "Foreign Philology" major Seralina A.K. and Saktagan Sh.S., and group advisor Alpysbaeva A.E., conducted a demo lesson on the topic “Urbanization of small towns” with the 2nd year students of “6B02304-Translation Studies” major within the framework of “SDG 11. Sustainable Cities and Settlements”.
The purpose of the demo lesson was to draw attention to the problem of sustainable development of cities and towns and to provide students with the necessary information on the given problem. The demo lesson was held in an interactive format, and 12 students took part in it. During the lesson, they watched and discussed the video material and created 2 clusters. Also they openly expressed their thoughts on this issue and actively participated in all activities having divided into 2 groups. They discussed urban and rural problems and proposed the ways how to solve them.
The lesson achieved its goal.
