Interest in KazNU's CSD center has increased
Information about the opening of the scientific center "Sustainable Development and Environmental Management" in the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was widely covered in the media.
It should be noted that the new scientific center opened on the basis of the university includes 10 innovative laboratories implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.
The opening ceremony was attended by correspondents of "Qazaqstan", "Alatau", "Almaty TV" TV channels and "Taninsholpan" program, who prepared and presented special video materials.
Materials about 10 laboratories were published on the website and official pages of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of RK. Also, news about new laboratories were published in such publications as: "Dala news", "Qazaq uni", "Bilimdi el", "DKNEWS", "Qazaq", "Qazaq.Asia", "Aiqyn", "Egemen Qazaqstan" and others.
Also many are interested in cooperation with KazNU on realization of Sustainable Development Goals.
Recall, the opening ceremony of the scientific center was held on March 29 this year. The event was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, Vice-Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevsky, Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebaev, rectors of universities of Kazakhstan and Russia.
The main objective of the SD&RM Center is to identify regularities of interaction between nature and society in the conditions of global environmental change, including the development and implementation of green technologies for the rational use of natural resources. The laboratories also carry out geoinformation analysis of landscape degradation, geodemographic and socio-economic studies, and environmental monitoring.
