KazNU published a book on the life and work of Kamal Burkhanov

The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an international scientific-practical conference "Kazakhstan and Central Asia: history, politics, society" dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the honored figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Kamal Burkhanov.

The event was attended by: Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University  Zhanseit Tuimebaev, Deputy Director of the Institute of State History, Professor Burkitbay Ayagan, state and public figure Bektas Mukhamedjanov, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, President of the Kazakhstan Association of Political Studies Esenzhol Aliyarov, Independent Director of JSC "Financial Center" Murat Mukhamedov, Vice-Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Professor Z. K. Kurmanov, spouse of Kamal Nizamovich Magripa Mukhamedjanova and her children, relatives, scientists-historians from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. K.Kurmanov, wife of Kamal Nizamovich Magripa Mukhamedjanova and her children, relatives, close relatives, historians from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, heads of scientific institutions, politicians, faculty and students of the university.

Opening the plenary session, the head of the university Zhanseit Tuimebaev noted that the labor path of the figure is closely connected with KazNU.
"Kamal Burkhanov from 1979 to 2002 worked as a senior laboratory assistant, assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor, professor, deputy dean of Kazakh State University (now KazNU). He was head of the Department of Political History, Dean of the Faculty of History. Headed the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, realized responsible tasks at the Department of Political Science. From 2002 to 2004 he worked as Dean of the Faculty of Law of Almaty State University named after Abay. In 2004-2006 he acted as a chief expert in the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He headed the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Sh.Ualikhanov. Sh. Ualikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology. During his teaching career he trained more than 10 doctors and candidates of sciences, became chairman of scientific councils.  He also chaired the expert commission on political science, philosophical sciences under the Minister of Education and Science. Therefore, it is worth noting Kamal Nizamovich as one of the founders of the country's first school of political sciences," the rector said.

During the event the presentation of the book from the series "Gibratty gumyr" dedicated to the life and scientific works of Kamal Nizamovich took place. The collection includes memoirs of contemporaries, colleagues and students about Kamal Burkhanov.

At the international conference, the president of the Kazakhstan Association of Political Studies, Doctor of Political Sciences Yesenzhol Aliyarov highly appreciated the activities and moral qualities of Kamal Burkhanov.
"Kamal Nizamovich professionally performed his duties in any sphere and responsibly carried out the work assigned to him. He became a historian, politician and then a public figure. Kamal Burkhanov during his life made a significant contribution to the formation of Kazakhstan. Being a deputy of Majilis of the Parliament he raised acute issues in the field of domestic science, education, spirituality", - said Esenzhol Aliyarov.

The participants of the event shared their memories of Kamal Burkhanov. Also scientists-historians noted the need for joint work on the study of history, culture, civilization of Central Asian countries and shared a number of proposals.

In turn, the wife of Kamal Nizamovich Magripa Mukhamedjanova, who thanked the leadership of KazNU and all those present for participation in the organization of the conference.
The plenary session continued in different breakout sessions.
