Participation of Master's students of the 1st year of «Chemistry» specialty in the olympiad «Physchemist-2024»

During the period of pedagogical practice master students of english department of the 1st year of specialty «Chemistry» took an active part in the preparation and holding of the international student subject Olympiad «Physchemist-2024». The event was held from 27 to 29 february 2024 and was organized by the department of physical chemistry, catalysis and petrochemistry of the faculty of chemistry and chemical technology of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi.

Together with the lecturers of the department, master students took an active part in the development of the olympiad program, prepared prizes for the winners and participants. In addition, they assisted in the technical organization of the event, which included preparation of classrooms, technical support and support of participants. Master's students were actively involved as inspectors, in order to control the correctness of the tasks performed by the participants, as well as provided all the necessary assistance for the comfort of the event.

According to the practical students' feedback, participation in the olympiad «Physchemist-2024» became an invaluable experience in the organization and management of events of this scale. It contributed to the development of not only professional skills, ability to work in a team, to be responsible for each stage of the event, but also to actively participate in scientific and educational training of students of the department and faculty. Thus, the Olympiad provided an incentive to improve the quality of educational training of students, which keeps pace with the implementation of sustainable development goals (SDG 4 - Quality education).

The olympiad «Physchemist-2024» became a bright event for both students and practical students. Master students thanked the organizers for the opportunity to participate in the event and expressed their hope for further cooperation in the future.
