“Best Young Scientist”

Chairman of the Board - Rector of the Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebaev, on the eve of Science Workers' Day, held a meeting with young scientists of the university. Malik Azhar Malikkyzy, senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare, Department of Fundamental Medicine, won the “Best Young Scientist” competition at KazNU al-Farabi.

 

Malik Azhar Malikkyzy is a young scientist, microbiologist, specializing in biotechnology. Azhar Malikkyzy graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 2016 with a degree in Biotechnology and continued her studies in the master's program (2016-2018) and doctoral studies (2019-2022). In addition, Malik A.M. in 2020 received the award “Best Young Scientist - 2020” of the CIS, Nur-Sultan. Today, despite the fact that Azhar is a young scientist in science, she is the author of more than 50 scientific papers, 2 monographs, 3 articles indexed in the Scopus database (Q1-2, Q2-1), 30 articles recommended by CQAFSHE MSHE RK, 15 – theses published in the materials of scientific conferences, seminars, symposia of the international level, 5 – theses published in the materials of scientific conferences, seminars, symposia of the republican level, also has 1 patent for an invention, 1 patent for a utility model and 1 certificate of authorship. Currently actively involved in science.

Malik A. M. in his teaching career pays special attention to the development of practical skills and competencies of students. Malik A.M. has more than 6 years of scientific and pedagogical experience. Participated in various scientific projects: “Comprehensive assessment of the impact of non-recycled and prohibited pesticides on the genetic status and health of the population of the Almaty region: Determination of the microbial diversity of the territory adjacent to pesticide disposal sites, screening of microorganisms that destroy chemical pollutants” (2018-2020), “ Development of biotechnology for producing a highly active preparation “bio humus-plus” based on oxidized brown coals and a zoo microbial consortium” (2019-2020), “Development of biotechnology for producing environmentally friendly, smokeless briquetted fuel based on brown coals from the Lenger coal deposit and surfactant-synthesizing microorganisms for fuel energy efficient use" (2019-2020), "Construction of yeast consortia for the production of feed proteins based on whey and plant raw materials" (2020-2021), "Production of bioethanol by continuous fermentation of whey using immobilized yeast cells" (2021-2023) , Creation of a consortium based on strain-destructors for the bioremediation of soils contaminated with organochlorine pesticides (2023-2026).
