On April 4, 2024with associate professor of the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neuroscience Basygaraev Zh. M. and 1st year students 7M01504-Biology conducted an open educational lesson on the topic “Assessing effective ways out of poverty while preserving the ecosystem and biological diversity” as part of TDM 15 in order to explain how to become environmentally literate and consider effective ways out of poverty.

Currently, the conservation of ecosystems and biological diversity is a pressing issue. The lecture is aimed at developing and instilling in students an appreciation of the natural value of the environment. In addition to the lecture, the students made a presentation on the topic and listened to other students’ proposals on ways to escape from poverty. Also discussed ways for preserving the ecosystem and biodiversity using the game method “Wandering Correspondent”.

As an additional task, students were asked to write their impressions and recommendations on a sticky note and hang them on a poster on the board. The goal is to consider effective ways to preserve the ecosystem and biological diversity of people, and get rid of poverty.
