Leadership lecture by Professor Abdeljalil Akkari from the University of Geneva, Switzerland
On April 10, 2024, 11 a.m., the Faculty of International Relations,KazNU hosted a Leadership lecture by Professor Abdeljalil Akkari from the University of Geneva, Switzerland on the topic “Internationalization of educational policies: issues and global trends”. During the lecture, Professor spoke about the specifics of education in Switzerland, highlighted the topic of globalization and the impact of pandemic on education.
Professor Akkari A. is the head of the Research Group on International Aspects of Education (ERDIE), President of the Doctoral School, Coordinator of the Master's Degree in Analysis and Impact on Education Systems (AISE), Director of the Master's Degree in Advanced Research in International Education, Director of the CAS Continuing Education Certification Center for Emergency Teacher Training.
His main experience and publications include research on international cooperation, educational planning, multicultural education, teacher training and educational inequality. Currently, his main research interests are focused on teacher education and educational system reforms in a comparative and international perspective.
Professor Akkari Abdeljalil is the author (co-author) of more than 500 scientific research and more than 50 books. He has actively participated in international conferences and seminars more than 160 times. He is an expert on international projects of UNESCO and the World Bank, a member of various scientific organizations and a project manager in Latin America, South and North Africa, Japan and Canada. At the same time, Professor Akkari Abdeljalil is the supervisor of more than 20 doctoral dissertations at the University of Geneva. He has a Hirsch index h=8. He has 47 articles in the Scopus database. Over the past 3 years, he published more than 15 articles in journals indexed in the Scopus database.
