Talented young Orientalist

Aner Arlan Askaruly, a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Turksoy Department, study programme “6B02207”,  is currently in Turkey under the ERASMUS academic mobility program in the city of Eskisehir for one semester.
On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi KazNU under the guidance of the scientific supervisor of the senior lecturer of the Department Turksoy Zhanatayeva K.B, at the international scientific conference of students and young scientists “Farabi Alemi” took 1st place in the section “Society and Religion of the Eastern Countries”, as well as 3rd place throughout the Faculty and awarded a 3rd degree diploma. During the conference, Arlan presented his work “The Influence of laïcité Ideas on political and sociocultural changes in Turkey.” While in Turkey, Arlan carried out a series of studies, ranging from conversations with students and teachers to a comprehensive survey involving more than 200 people.
Aner Arlan also provided a business idea for the “Business Incubator for Students” competition, namely, under the guidance of the scientific supervisor of the senior lecturer of the Department Turksoy Zhanatayeva K.B, the project “Interactive educational courses and cultural trips to the world of Turkish history and culture in the startup application UYREN". This project involves the creation of innovative educational courses and cultural trips aimed at studying Turkish history, oriental traditions and the Turkish language within Kazakhstan. As a result, the project passed the second round and was exhibited at the KazNU library.
