Peace, justice and strong institutions
On April 16, 2024, within the framework of “Sustainable Development Goals” the 1st-year master’s degree students of Translation Studies major from the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies, Zhaksylyk A.Zh., Abdimanap S.N., Alimzhanov B.M and the advisor Dairabekova G.S. conducted a demo lesson with the 1st-year students of “6B02303-Foreign Philology” major on the topic: “ Peace, justice and strong institutions ”.
The aim of the lesson was to to tell about the conditions of justice in Kazakhstan, to promote the creation of a peaceful and open society for sustainable development, to ensure access to justice for all and to create effective state institutions at all levels. The lesson was held in the form of a discussion in which 10 students took part. During the lesson, the students openly expressed their thoughts, answered the questions, and took an active part. They discussed the issues of violence against people all over the world. They shared their thoughts on social and legal injustice in many countries and on the organization of a fair trial. It was noted that one of the urgent problems today is corruption. The students were proposed to take part in debates which were practical task. For this activity the participants were divided into two groups. The students were introduced to the current legislative issues of our country. They also got acquainted with and analyzed the measures used to combat them. The lesson achieved its goal.
