KazNU scientists participate in the Congress of Geographers of the Turkic World
The First International Congress of Geographers of the Turkic World will be held in Turkestan. Organizers: Al-Farabi KazNU, Khodja Ahmed Yasavi International Kazakh-Turkish University, Republican Named School of Geography and JSC "Institute of Geography and Water Security". The main objective of the Congress is to deepen cooperation between scientists from Turkic-speaking countries of the Eurasian continent, and to stimulate the development of geographical education and research in this field. It is a historic event dedicated to geography and geopolitics, as well as to the achievement of the SDGs in the field of environmental management. The Congress is a fruitful platform for scientific dialogue and knowledge exchange.
Within the framework of the congress, a scientific exhibition was held, presenting the achievements of the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management of Al-Farabi KazNU. During the exhibition, the guests were shown the scientific projects carried out at the Faculty and the equipment used for research. Textbooks, monographs of KazNU faculty members, which have been transferred to the library of Yasaui MCTU, were also presented. Within the framework of the scientific exhibition, a master class on the use of drones in geographical research was held.
25 faculty members, master's and Ph.D. students of KazNU participated in the congress and gave reports at the plenary and sectional sessions.
On behalf of the Chairman of the Board - the Rector of KazNU named after Al-Farabi J.K. Tuimebaeva the Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management A.S. Aktymbaeva handed over the letter of thanks to the Rector of Yasay MCTU J.A. Temirbekova for the organization of the Congress of Geographers of Turkic-speaking countries dedicated to the 90th anniversary of KazNU named after Al-Farabi.
During the plenary session the textbook "Geography of Turkic-speaking countries" was presented in two languages by the professors of the Department of Geography, Land Management and Cadastre of Al-Farabi KazNU U.A. Esnazarova and A.T. Temirbekova.
The Congress is an exceptional opportunity to study and discuss the geographical history, culture and future of the Turkic peoples and plays a role in strengthening scientific and cultural cooperation between the countries.
The congress will conclude on April 20.
